Is there any reason this isn't just "Simon Belmont"? The written characters are the same, just different translations...--MCRG 05:14, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Well, not really, since the last katakana is "do" instead of "to". I do believe the proper romanization would be more akin to "Simon Belmond". --Detour 05:42, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Again, "Belmondo" is the official Romanization in Japan and there's nothing Transformers-related that says his surname is "Belmont". Also, yes, it is a real name. —Interrobang 05:50, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
What is the source for this "official Romanization in Japan", given Konami US usually reflects such changes, and "Belmondo" was only used in the first game's credits.--MCRG 06:03, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
