Is there any reason this isn't just "Simon Belmont"? The written characters are the same, just different translations...--MCRG 05:14, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well, not really, since the last katakana is "do" instead of "to". I do believe the proper romanization would be more akin to "Simon Belmond". --Detour 05:42, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

- Yaargh. I know it exists, but I can't find it. It likely isn't "Belmond", unless Konami wanted to give a family of vampire killers the name of a city in Iowa with a population of 2,500, or "Belmont", since the kana end with "do", not "to". Even if we can't confirm it as official, "Belmondo" is the only thing that makes sense from the kana. —Interrobang 06:22, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

- This is not the same thing. "Belmondo" is a legitimate name and uses different Katakana than "Belmont" (Berumondo is not the same thing as Berumonto). Minelba is nonsense based on misunderstanding of the Katakana for Minerva (both use Mineruba). —Interrobang 07:41, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
