• Penciller Don Figueroa based this character on the eponymous 1983 Micro Change MC-18 Magneman (マグネマン) toy that transforms into a combination lock. While the comic character has an original Constructicon-esque color scheme, the toy itself has a red head, chest, thighs, and hands with black arms and feet, plus a silver shackle coming out of the left shoulder.
