David Mariotte is an editor at Boom Studios and formerly IDW Publishing. From 2016 to 2023, his main works were various Transformers titles and Sonic the Hedgehog. He was the co-writer of Transformers vs. The Terminator with fellow editor John Barber. He grew up watching Beast Wars, and his favourite Transformer is Randy, because "he just has a guy's name".
