Talk:Cy-Kill (G1)
Wasn't Cy-Kill in The War Within volume 1, too? I remember him being in the background of the scene where Megatron holds up Emirate Xeon's head, along with guys like the Microman Lock Robo. --Monzo 01:38, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
- I think you're right, and I also seem to remember some obscure Microman known as "Scopeman" being in there.--TVsGrady 02:02, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
Well, it has been 17 years since this character page and talk page was created, and 5 years since the Cy-Kill vandal prompted the page to be locked. Is it alright now to reopen the page to editing? And to the point of this page having been created as a result of Dreamwave stories, I have a quibble after reviewing old Dreamwave material. Cy-Kill/Bike Robo's shape made four appearances in Dreamwave continuity.
1. The War Within Preview shows a head in an indistinct color scheme.
2. The War Within #2 shows the upper body in an original color scheme alongside all those Diaclone and Micro Change cameos also in original color schemes, which we classify as OCs.
3. Generation One vol. 2 #3 shows a dying head and hand in an indistinct color scheme.
4. And finally, Generation One vol. 3 #10 shows the full Cy-Kill body in a faithfully-accurate GoBots color scheme.
I may be overthinking our coverage of a background character, but we currently classify those other background characters from story point 2 as distinct characters, named separately from the toy origin if a character name is available. If that is so, then shouldn't white-body-blue-head Cy-Kill be considered a separate person from the GoBots-colored Cy-Kill confirmed to exist by story point 4? I can accept this page still retaining all four of these comic appearances as one person named Cy-Kill, but I propose the guy from point 2 being split off to a nickname-title "Bike Robo" page just as we currently have "Metal Man" separate from all the Eggbots as well as "Stretch" separate from "Tux" in Scioli continuity.
