The name or term "Rescue Force" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Rescue Force (disambiguation).
Big Rescue Force is an Autobot combiner from the Generation 1 continuity family.
He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Rescue Force.

Big Rescue Force is the combined form of all four Rescue Force members.

Big Rescue Force is composed of:

Big Rescue Force was hanging out at the Galadria Space Bridge Outpost in the Delta Prysmos Sector when a pirate ship appeared overhead and dropped a bomb on him and several other passersby. Hoist the Flag

The Transformers

Hahahahahahahahahahaha…
  • Rescue Force (Rescue Force, 1992)
  • Rescue Force (Rescue Force, 1992)
  • Rescue Force (Rescue Force, 1992)
  • Rescue Force (Rescue Force, 1992)
The Rescue Force are four individually-sold, unnamed redecos of four out of the six Victory Breastforce members, sold only as part of the European-market Transformers toyline. And like the Breastforce's Liokaiser, these toys can be combined into a giant robot. However, since the Rescue Force lacks redecoes of Hellbat and Guyhawk, and jet-torso component didn't come with Liokaiser's helmet kibble, Big Rescue Force has no proper arms and his "head" consists only of the back of Rescue Force's head.
The solution for the former, as engineered by fans and ultimately canonized in the Wings Universe comics, involves using the claws of Rescue Force 1 (which are exclusive to his redeco and not featured in the original Killbison) as replacement arms, which end up sitting near Big Rescue Force's hips instead of his shoulders, but at least give him a modicum of articulation as they can turn up and down. As for the latter... You just have to pretend that the pair of recessed plastic lines in the back of Rescue Force are his face. Don't even bother overthinking it.
Broken as it is, the Rescue Force's combination gimmick isn't mentioned anywhere on their packaging. But a Transformers sticker album distributed in Europe by Kent in 1993 describes the Rescue Force members as combiners in their individual bios, so uhhhh... yeah. Wow. This album is also where the name "Big Rescue Force" comes from.

Notes

  • It's possible that the image of the toy depicts Big Rescue Force as the bio writer really intended him to look, but given the toys' origins, it seems more likely that said writer was under the impression that the Rescue Force would be able to form a complete robot. Sadly, this is not only authorial intent but speculative authorial intent, and as such any interpretations lie squarely within the realm of personal canon.
  • As shown in "Hoist the Flag", it is possible to give Big Rescue Force "arms" by attaching Rescue Force 1's claws to Rescue Force 2. Seeing as this means they come out of his waist, the effect is quite silly.
