- According to The Transformers Devastator's giftset's packaging bio, he was armed with a solar energy beam rifle. This weapon was also identified in Mixmaster's instructions as a magna laser.
- The toys that formed Devastator were were redecoed and reissued (and bootlegged) a number of times over the years.
