Medix's favorite DJ is playing a concert at Griffin Rock. However as there will be so many out-of-towners attending the bots have to remain out of sight. But when the DJ's show needs rescuing, Medix and the recruits must take centre stage.
Synopsis
Whirl is working on some delicate electronics when she's startled by loud noises. Hot Shot, Hoist and Wedge find her in the corridor searching for the source of the noise and join in, eventually tracing it to Medix's lab where their fellow recruit is listening to loud electronic dance music. Once they get his attention and he turns the music off, he admits Cody has got him interested in the works of the mysterious DJ Mechmaster, who wears a robot mask to hide his true identity. DJ Mechmaster happens to be holding a charity concert in Griffin Rock soon, but Medix can't attend for risk of exposing the Rescue Bots' secret as there'll be out-of-towners there. The others leave him to it, and discuss how it's sad he won't get to see DJ Mechmaster in concert, however Heatwave overhears them and takes the recruits out to the garden to hear a request from Mayor Luskey — he wants them to monitor the concert from the Academy to make sure nothing goes wrong.
The day of the concert arrives, and the people of Griffin Rock are all at the docks as DJ Mechmaster's stage barge arrives. Unfortunately as the tugboat towing it struggles against the current, the towline snaps and the barge crashes into rocks. The recruits solve the exposure problem by using the GroundBridge to reach the sea floor near the barge so they can mount the rescue unseen. They successfully free the barge and reattach it to the tug, only to realize DJ Mechmaster himself is missing. Medix and Whirl take to the air and find the DJ clinging to a buoy, with his robot mask jammed in the metalwork. With no other choice than to reveal themselves, Medix goes back to get Hot Shot's assistance in boat form, and reveals himself in robot form to DJ Mechmaster. Once he removes the mask to free the DJ, he realizes he didn't need to worry as DJ Mechmaster is in reality Mayor Luskey!
That evening, the concert is about to start, though Luskey is sure the crowd will be disappointed as the stage props are all out of commission, however Medix has an idea — the bots pretend to be stage props and provide the lights and special effects. Back at the academy, Heatwave and Tough Luck Chuck groove to the dance music.

"Oh, you can turn off the music, buddy, but you can't turn off the image of you dancing that is now embedded in our neural circuits."

"So, uh, why dance music, Medix?"
"Well, it's the nested binary structure of the sixteen bar groups combined with some sick drops and chain compression on the bass that really gets my circuits humming."
"Yep, glad I asked."
- —Hot Shot and Medix
