Notes
[edit]- This story was published as the April 2025 issue of the web comic (timed to coincide with the Hydrophant's debut in the Wild King cartoon) and advertised the Wild King Hydrophant, Lightlong and Captain Volca toys, the Transformers Fan Book 2024, and the first collected edition of Go! Go!.
Continuity notes
[edit]- As promised by Oda last time, we noticeably diverge from the cartoon here as Megatron and Volca stick around while the cartoon moves briskly on to introducing yet more toys.
Transformers references
[edit]- Hydrophant debuts with a character model meticulously accurate to his Wild King toy in Oda's usual style here, though again the distinction between toy and cartoon-accuracy is somewhat philosophical with the Wild King franchise.
- Like Optimus and Lightlong before them, Megatron and Volca reproduce Volca's combination sequence precisely, including Megatron's abruptly mutating into that of his Wild King analogue.
