Kazutami Abiko (安彦一民 Abiko Kazutami, born 1971 February 28) was a designer at Takara from about 1998 to 2009.

Notes
[edit]- Abiko designed a Choro-Q Robo version of Ultra Magnus, but it was not released.[1]
- While Abiko never worked on a mainline Transformers series, he oversaw Neo Henshin Cyborg, the reissue Henshin Cyborg line, Henshin Cyborg 99, the reissue Microman line, the Microman relaunch: Micro Force, and SCF Takara SF Land. He's also credited as an author on the 2004 Microman Style mook,[2] and was involved with Takara's development of the Jikuu Keisatsu Wecker Signa tokusatsu series and merchandise.[3]
- At some point he left Takara and joined MegaHouse, a subsidiary of Bandai. He has designed retro-inspired pieces for Kamen Rider[4] and Gundam,[5] but also more modern figures based on SSSS.Gridman.[6][7]
