Sentius Magnus

Sentius Magnus is a Thirteen-aligned Autobot from the Earth Wars portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Sentius Magnus is the Relic Guardian of Light, twin of Sentius Malus, Relic Guardian of Darkness. Once, they were a single person, Sentius Nobilius, tasked by the gods themselves with their holy relics, but Nobilius's spark was split into two, producing twins who now fight on opposing sides. The rigid Magnus clings to their original mission, struggling to adapt to the complications of the present day, and he struggles even more to deal with his brother's mile wide impetuous streak. He has been sufficiently convinced of the Autobots' virtue time and again to grant them the use of his charges, but he doesn't have to like it. Each twin carries half of the Sword of Balance.

In the ancient past of Cybertron, Sentius Nobilius swore to guard the relics of the Thirteen Primes using the powerful Sword of Balance. But Nobilius was betrayed and split into two beings - Sentius Magnus, Relic Guardian of Light, and Sentius Malus, Relic Guardian of Darkness. Millennia later, Magnus still takes his oath - along with everything else in the universe - very, very seriously. Though Magnus agrees that the ideals of the Autobots justify their use of the relics, he still doesn't like it, and reserves the right to bring his wrath down upon anyone who steps out of line. He deeply believes that power corrupts, and an ounce of prevention is worth a planetload of cure - prevention in the form of his turret mode quad-cannon, energon bow, or still-deadly half of the Sword of Balance.
