This article is about the Mini-Con. For the holy relic, see Lenses.
Lens is a Mini-Con from the Energon portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Lens (レンズ Renzu) is one of the many power-enhancing Mini-Cons who help the Autobots search the galaxy for raw Energon deposits. Teamed with Snowblind and Quantum in the Blizzard Intervention Mini-Con Team, the trio can form the powerful Cryo Saber weapon.

  • Lens (Micron Booster, 2004)
  • Booster ID number: 4
Super Link Lens is a redeco of the Energon Saber Mini-Con Skyboom, transforming into a Cybertronic shuttle. He can also form the hilt of the Cryo Saber sword.
He was sold as part of the second Micron Booster assortment in Japan in individual, blind-packed boxes so you did not know which Mini-Con you got until you opened the box and opaque black plastic bag inside. This assortment was primarily sold through convenience stores.
This mold was also used to make Cybertron Ramjet. The original version of the mold is used by Shade and Sonar.

Notes

[edit]
  • Like most of the Micron Boosters, Lens's name is a word related to the Japanese name of the original toy, in this case, Skyboom's Japanese name "Beam".
  • Circa 2007, the Transformers Collectors' Club commissioned profile art for Lens, to be given the localized name Coldsnap, but it was never officially used due to the Mini-Con bio program going defunct. Artist MCRG would later post it to DeviantArt.[1]
