The Victory War begins as Star Saber and Deathsaurus face-off on Earth!

Synopsis

[edit]

On Victory, the Autobots receive an SOS from Earth: the Decepticons are attacking! The new Supreme Commander, Star Saber deploys the Multiforce to battle, ordering the Brainmasters to stay behind.

On Earth, the Dinoforce are laying siege to a city, eventually combining into Dinoking. Their rampage is cut short when the Multiforce combiner, Landcross, arrives. Declaring his intentions to become the Decepticon's new rival, the two square-off.

With Dinoking indisposed, Star Saber and his human son, Jan (who is overwhelmed by the beauty of his home planet, which he had forgotten), take on the Decepticon Emperor of Destruction, Deathsaurus, and the "Decepticon Boy", Solon. The fight is a short one, as one good swipe from Star Saber's Saber Blade is enough to severely wound Deathsaurus.

With the arrival of the individual Multiforce robots and the news that Dinoking has been defeated, Deathsaurus and Solon beat a hasty retreat. Jan believes that some day the Universe will be at peace, leaving Star Saber to declare that the battle for that peace begins today.

Notes

[edit]
  • Wow, this has to be the most uneventful Transformers story ever written.
  • Although Holi appears for one panel on the second page, he does not act as Jan's sidekick/playmate in the manga as he did in the cartoon.
  • Jan's reaction to being on Earth again would indicate that he's been away from his home planet for a very long time.
  • Ban Magami's design for Jan is very different (and far more feminine) than the one used in the Victory cartoon.
  • Despite the narration referring to Solon as "Decepticon Boy", you aren't going to find out his deal until "Great Reversal! Star Saber".
  • Deathsaurus sometimes doesn't have his "ear" pieces.
