Trent Troop has said that Sir Soundwave was designed as "the kid-appeal character", fitting the whole Sunbow theme of some SG material. Noteworthy? 75.61.100.140 15:57, 13 May 2012 (EDT)

The same thing has also been said about Reflector. It's why he's yellow, like Bumblebee. --ItsWalky 16:10, 13 May 2012 (EDT)
Well, that's silly. Buzzsaw and Razorclaw are yellow, too, and Razorclaw, for that matter, had much more importance than Reflector (who only has one line to his name). Soundwave, meanwhile, was originally a repurposing, and can't be yellow. Disregarding that, and Trent Troop's remarks explicitly naming him "the Decepticons' Bumblebee" , though, I think "reckless, rebellious, jokey, commonly-appearing musician who speaks in slang, befriends humans, and wears a Ninja Turtle headband" outweighs "yellow extra." At least, I'd say it deserves a note. 75.61.100.140 23:43, 13 May 2012 (EDT)
No, I mean Reflector was explicitly stated to be a kid-appeal style character. It was years ago by now, of course. But thank you for being a jerk to me about this, anyway.--ItsWalky 23:56, 13 May 2012 (EDT)

[edit]

This came to me while watching tjomegas catch up video on wild king, as he suggested this idea (even comparing him to Bumblebee). Considering its just his opinion, im a bit unsure, and thinking about it, idk if he fills the role well enough despite being a cheery sidekick.Poliwag06 (talk) 09:07, 23 July 2025 (EDT)
