Titans Return Sentinel Prime
The Titans Return Voyager Class toy of Sentinel Prime is rendered in an uncharacteristically bright neon-orange deco never before seen for the character. This iteration of Sentinel is directly based on his appearances in Spotlight: Optimus Prime and Megatron: Origin, themselves stylized takes on his original appearance in the Marvel Comic The Legacy of Unicron!, which are all depicted as primarily yellow bots with red and orange accents.
The error stems from a panel from Megatron: Origin, incidentally the only high-quality, full-body image of Sentinel on the internet at the time. However, this panel showcases him completely bathed in early-2000s dramatic mid-day sunlight. Without knowing what Sentinel's colors are actually supposed to look like (his proper character sheet wouldn’t be public until much later), the deco artist probably eye-dropped the colors from the image and applied them directly to the toy during development (This panel also explains the yellow "windshield" section, as his arm is covering that part of his torso). This incorrect coloring has since went on to influence his depictions in future media as well, most notably IDW's new rebooted series of comics.
