The name or term "Megatron" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Megatron (disambiguation).
Megatron is a Decepticon from Wild King.

Megatron (メガトロン Megatoron) is the fearsome leader of the Decepticons of Cybertron. Seeking to defend his planet, Megatron led his army against Optimus Prime and his Autobots. Eventually, those battles led to Megatron turning a new leaf as a hero standing side by side with Prime.

Still intent on protecting his homeworld, Megatron left for the planet Elementros -- a place said to possess mysterious powers. Receiving no communication back, Optimus pursued his former enemy to Elementros, where they both have experienced said power for themselves. A chance encounter with the Energy Beast known as Captain Volca allowed for Megatron to become an Energy Master, able to undergo wildocking to unite with various numbers of Energy Beasts and tap into their inner Element Energy, using it in conjunction with his transformation cog.

In his form as Shadow Megatron (シャドウメガトロン Shadõ Megatoron), Megatron is empowered by mysterious telepathic waves, which wrap the Decepticon in dark, malevolent energy. This has also borne out a desire for "liberation".

Part of the first wave of Wild King toys, Energy Master Megatron is a Voyager-sized robot who transforms into a Cybertronian Tank.
As an Energy Master, Megatron is capable of combining with up to 4 Energy Beasts as the torso, with the Energy Beasts replacing either his arms or his legs, and their Elemental Energy piece attached to his chest. When not combined with anyone, the horns of his combined mode can be stored on his fusion cannons barrel.
Undocumented in his instructions, his arms can store inside his legs, much like with Optimus. Unlike Optimus, this can only be done when both are detached, as the fold out toes block this when they are attached.
