Cybonic plague

Cybonic plague is a virus developed by Megatron to wipe out millions during the Great War and is a product engineered by the Decepticon biological warfare program.

Before time began, there was... the Cure.

Optimus Prime and Ratchet investigated a crashed Autobot ship on Earth when they discovered every crew member had died from the plague. Optimus was infected when a corpse hanging above him dripped infected energon onto him.

Ratchet brought him back to Autobot Outpost Omega One. Realizing Megatron would have the cure, Arcee and Bumblebee GroundBridged to the Nemesis. Discovering Megatron's comatose body, Bumblebee entered his mind via cortical psychic patch to convince him to give it to them. Megatron showed a hologram of the antidote to barter with Bumblebee, but Ratchet recorded it and was able to cure Optimus. Sick Mind

• The color change of infected Energon is very reminiscent of the iridescent sheen water gains when mixed with motor oil.
