  • Number 2 is a fan character created for unofficial merchandise sold at BotCon 2024. As part of an extended Suicide Squad riff, her color scheme, devised by Josh Perez, borrows heavily from Harley Quinn, with her name and body-type making clear that she's a toxic Elita-1 counterpart to Toxitron's Optimus. According to writer Jesse Wittenrich, the name "Number 2", which is a euphemism for poo, was chosen by Sentinel Prime as an insult, and she's since risen above it so that the scat joke is actually only a minor part of her character.[1] Presumably, he'd prefer people focused on some other aspect of her rich characterisation: maybe her role as "the bomb dropper",[2] her iconic toilet brush weapon, her membership in the "Sewer-Side Squad",[3] and her beloved appearances in social media posts from BotCon about shitting yourself.[4][5] Stay classy, BotCon.
