A missing comrade leads Optimus Prime onto a mysterious new planet.
Synopsis
[edit]Trying and failing to contact Megatron, Optimus Prime follows him to his last known location, the planet Elementros. Megatron's last transmission to Optimus regarded mysterious energy that the planet empowers native life with—energy that Optimus ponders as he treks across the planet.
Optimus Prime soon drives past a carelessly running giraffe, whose wild strides and wide neck swings knock boulders flying and fell trees. A falling tree threatens to block the path of Optimus, who quickly transforms to stop the local creature, surprised to find is capable of both speech and transforming into a robot form of its own. The being introduces himself as the giraffe energy beast Lightlong and profusely apologizes for what happened, and is both amazed at Optimus's ability to turn into a truck and disappointed at not being able to do the same. Optimus notices Lightlong spark with Element Energy and Lightlong in turn notices Optimus does not possess it himself, becoming excited once more when Optimus reveals he is from another planet.
Suddenly, the two are ambushed from afar, with Optimus Prime quickly jumping in front of Lightlong to deflect the blast. The two recover and discover the attacker is none other than Megatron, empowered by Element Energy and having the Elementros native Captain Volca fused to his right arm, combined as Flame Megatron!

[edit]- This episode and Episode 2 debuted simultaneously on TakaraTomy's official YouTube channel, remaining combined as a double-entry upload.
- Captain Volca, Wildocked to Megatron, attacks Optimus and Lightlong with a "Jurassic Vol Flare" attack.
- The Lightlong-hosted promotional "Wild King Research Lab" segment placed at the end of the two-episode upload features Lightlong, in minimally stop-animated toy form, introducing the play features and transformation sequences of both the line's Optimus Prime toy and his own. Transformation sequences utilize live-action footage of the toys being transformed in hand, with Lightlong narrating each step.
