The search for new allies brings earth-shaking revelations and shocking consequences.
Synopsis
[edit]Optimus Prime wonders where Spirituan has disappeared to. Ignite Leo is quick to surmise that Spirituan is now with Megatron, who has been aiming to bring all members of the Dinosaur Tribe under his heel. Despite their difference in tribes, Spirituan was a friendly rival and close companion to Ignite Leo, who implores Optimus for his help. With Megatron likely after the Element Shield, Lightlong volunteers his and Hydrophant's help as well. However, they'll need some more power, so Lightlong leads the group to the literal stomping grounds of Drillnohorn, a rhinoceros Energy Beast with earth-shaking abilities.
The group narrowly avoids Drillnohorn's charge, noticing that he's being pursued by the Dinosaur Tribe's Thunderbeak, a Pteranodon Energy Beast. Thunderbeak pecks at Drillnohorn, but is repelled by the rhino's thick hide. Thunderbeak transforms into robot mode and launches a Lightning Shooter electric blast, which stops Drillnohorn in his tracks. As Optimus Prime attempts to intervene, Thunderbeak turns fire on their group. Lightlong transforms into giraffe mode and uses himself as a lightning rod, defending the group by absorbing Thunderbeak's blasts due their shared element. However, the blasts prove too much, with Lightlong threatening to short out.
Optimus and Hydrophant take the opportunity to perform Wildocking and form Aqua Optimus. An Aqua Splash attack sends Thunderbeak flying. Seeing an opportunity, Drillnohorn transforms into robot mode and unleashes a Big Power Punch on the ground. The punch produces a staircase of boulders, which Drillnohorn climbs and launches off of to deliver a devastating mid-air blow to Thunderbeak.
With Thunderbeak defeated, Drillnohorn thanks Optimus Prime and the others for the rescue. Just then, Megatron and other members of the Dinosaur Tribe appear over a nearby clifftop, warning Optimus not to celebrate just yet...

[edit]- The Lightlong-hosted promotional "Wild King Research Lab" segment placed at the end of the episode features Lightlong, in minimally stop-animated toy form, introducing the play features and transformation sequences of the line's Drillnohorn and Thunderbeak toys. Transformation sequences utilize live-action footage of the toys being transformed in hand, with Lightlong narrating each step.
