- The Transformers' backstory as briefly related in the novel features two retcons regarding the dating of past events compared with the dates previously established in The Transformers:
- The Transformers' rebellion against the Quintessons is dated to six million years ago rather than circa 12 million years.
- More bizarrely, the events of the Unicron War are dated to four million years ago, complete with Rodimus Prime and Galvatron being namechecked.
