Fiction

Revenge of the Fallen novel

Much like most other appliances in the kitchen, the cell phone was brought to life when Sam's AllSpark shard fell into the kitchen. Its first act of life was to ring incessantly, which prompted the nearby microwave robot to put him in his chest and fry him. Revenge of the Fallen

The cell phone's involvement in these events, or events mostly similar, were also chronicled in the novel "The Last Prime."

Notes

• In the movie itself, a cordless telephone is right next to the microwave, and is shown being energized alongside the other appliances transformed by the AllSpark shard. When the scene cuts back to the Microwave bot in robot mode, the interior of his chest is shown sparking, suggesting that a similar fate befell the phone offscreen.
• Special features on the Revenge of the Fallen DVD show a concept version of the kitchen scene, which includes the cell phone bot being destroyed by the microwave bot.
