"Internuncios" are Transformers from the Generation 1 continuity family.

"Internuncios" are one of the oldest of Transformer body-types, predating the art of Transformation, yet Transformers of this venerable model are still in service today.

They seem especially suited to communications support roles and are frequently seen working as couriers, switchboard operators, intelligence officers and Matrix bearers.

A small internuncio manning the communications chair normally occupied by Spike informed Ultra Magnus of a prolonged siege on an Autobot energy-production facility in Miami, Florida. Ultra Magnus decisively ordered him to summon the Technobots, which he did in a gung ho manner. Ultra Magnus then went charging off to his death. Ultra Magnus Dies!!

An intelligence officer of the "internuncio" type in Autobot City rushed to inform Carly and Spike of a Decepticon attack on the Queen World ocean liner. Spike postulated that the Decepticon base must have been somewhere along the line of the most recent attacks and the officer agreed, promising to monitor the enemy's movements.
