• In reality, the Maya civilization did not extend as far south as South America; rather, it was primarily located in the Yucatán peninsula, which is now in Mexico. It's possible that the Mayans were simply confused for the Incas during the script-writing process, as the Inca empire did occupy a sizable portion of South America.
