Oni (衆) are supernatural creatures in Japanese mythology and folklore. They are usually portrayed as tusked and horned brutes with clubs.

Tobio Fūma's grandfather warned him that someday oni may appear to take the legendary mirror from the schachihoko of Nagoya Castle, and that it was their clan's mission to protect the mirror.

The foretold oni ended up being the Four Oni, Predacons who transformed from dragons into oni-like robot forms. Triple Combination! Swordbot - Ninja!

In the timeline of Aurex 615.03 Epsilon, the Beast Wars was waged in Alpha Q's universe 300 years after the Autobot/Decepticon war. The Maximals and Predacons fought multiple sub-wars on this universe's planets until the Alternity had to step in.
