Notes
[edit]- This episode is the first of three The Headmasters clip shows produced for direct-to-video release (although also broadcast outside of the Kantō region). The show retells the arrival of the Transformers on Earth and their befriending of Spike and Sparkplug via clips from "More than Meets the Eye", parts one and two, the introduction of Carly from "The Immobilizer", and the development of Combiners and city-bots as seen in "Scramble City: Mobilization". The unfulfilled cliffhanger from "Scramble City" is removed (logically enough), and clips from "Heavy Metal War" are incorporated into the narrative, featuring the Dinobots' battle with Devastator and the hurling of the Decepticons into the lava pit to bring the story to a conclusion for the purposes of the clip show. Also slipped into the middle of "Scramble City" is a remarkably out-of-place clip from "Thief in the Night", in order to showcase Trypticon.
- The episode concludes not with standard credits, but with the opening sequence from the first season of the American version of the cartoon, with Japanese text credits overlaid.
