Planning cards
[edit]Planning cards are drawn from each player's 22-card planning deck, 5 planning cards are played during the planning phase of each round to determine the actions taken by their robot during the round's activation phase.
- Move: Moves your robot 1, 2, or 3 spaces forward, or 1 space backwards.
- Turn: Rotates your robot 90 degrees left or right, or a 180 degrees U-turn.
- Drift: Moves your robot 1 space left or right, without turning them. New to this release.
- Power up: Gains 1 Energon.
- Again: Repeats the previous planning card.
Damage cards
[edit]When a player takes damage, they draw the top card off of the damage stack.
- SCRAP: Added into player's hand. Can be removed by either playing it in place of a planning card or repairing at a pit stop. Called "SPAM" in other versions.
- Instant Damage: Triggers an immediate effect and then is discarded.
- Energy Leak: Lose 1 Energon, placing it in your current space. You cannot pick it up without leaving and re-entering the space.
- Ongoing Damage: Effects last until a specified discard condition is met.
- Flat Tire: While in Alt Mode, move cards played in registers 4 and 5 have move 1 less space. Play 1 Energon to discard.
- Disarm: Cannot fire your weapon. Discarded at the end of the round.

[edit]While designed as a standalone game, the rulebook provides some guidelines for incorporating parts of it with other ‘’Robo Rally’’ releases.
Notes
[edit]- The game was announced under the title "Transformers Robo Rally", which was also used for its Hasbro Pulse listing.
- The Renegade Game Studios online listing uses "Robo Rally Transformers" (with no colon).
- The description for both listings, as well as the rulebook for the game, use the title "Robo Rally: Transformers".
