Herne is an Autobot Pretender from the Japanese cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Thunderhoof's distant cousin.

Ask Vector Prime

After MegaZarak sent Fenris and his team to Beast to steal the Ultra Matrix, Fortress responded by reverse-engineering their Pretender technology, and sending four warriors, including Herne, to stop them. Though the Destrons managed to steal the Ultra Matrix, Herne and his teammates were able to defeat them; in gratitude, they were given the Ultra Matrix by White Leo. Ask Vector Prime, 30/9/2015
