Notes

[edit]
  • The sidebar giving a summary of the Power Core Combiner plot ended up being some of the only fiction these toys ever got other than packaging bios and summaries and a couple of scattered appearances in movie continuities. It establishes that Power Core Combiner technology was thought to be lost forever long ago, and that gestalts like Devastator were sub-standard attempts to recreate the technology. After the Matrix was recovered in Revenge of the Fallen, the technology was rediscovered, and with the humans help, the Autobots recreated it.
  • Characters mentioned in Magnum's bio include: Alpha Trion and Sentinel Major.
    • Magnum's bio indicates his missile launchers can hit a target from 30 hics away. Hics are a measurement from the Marvel UK Transformers story "The Magnificent Six!"
  • Over-Run's bio notes he can travel at 2,400 kleps per astrosecond (astroseconds being a unit of measurement from Transformers episode "Transport to Oblivion") and that he is constantly trying to incorporate his drones into vehicle and robot mode (the mold he's based on, Energon Bulkhead, can combine with his own drone).
  • Characters mentioned in Snowblind's bio include: the Terrorcons and Megatron.
    • Snowblind was originally released in the second wave of Micron Boosters in Japan, where he was named "Beacon". The sword he forms along with his teammates is given a name: the Cryo Saber. His profile indicates this is only a recent ability, being upgraded with it to combat the Terrorcons and the return of Megatron, as seen in the Energon cartoon.
    • Not mentioned in this issue's bio is that Beacon's teammates Lens and Quantum would have been localized as "Coldsnap" and "Jetstream" and given the group name "Wind Chill Team".[1] As the Mini-Con bio regimen finally petered out at this time, said additional information was never published.
