Dalian (大连 dàlián) is a city in northeastern China,serving as a stop on the patrol routes of Autobots Longarm and Salvage .

At some point between 2009 and 2011, a large kerosene factory in Dalian caught fire. Despite attempts by Autobots Longarm and Salvage to assist the local fire department in rescuing the factory workers, when Decepticons Shockwave and Astrotrain arrived, all Autobots and humans present were killed by the Decepticons. Subsequently,Shockwave and Astrotrain collected the building materials they needed from the ruins of this factory. Rising Storm #1
