Synopsis
[edit]Date Index 316.279 AU
Apelinq determines that Rodimus's "somewhat... unique physiology" is what made him immune to Megatron's plague. Using this information, Apelinq is able to create an inoculant that sufficiently counters the virus. With this cure in their possession, they are ready to begin searching Cybertron for more survivors, a search they feel that the very fate of the whole planet itself depends on.

Notes
[edit]Continuity notes
[edit]- Apelinq had previously confirmed that Rodimus was somehow immune to Megatron's virus back in the preceding chapter. It is revealed here that his immunity is rooted in his physiology, right down to the "low-band energy signatures" of his Spark. The implication is that this is in reference to his being a Matrix Templar, which was previously alluded to back in both "VEHICON ALERT!" and Journal 7. How, exactly, his being a Templar makes him immune to the virus, however, has never really been explained, especially since Cheetor would be revealed to also be a Templar in a later story, yet he was affected by the virus (though, in fairness, said later story was written by different writers, and these things sometimes happen with such changes in writers).
- Apelinq first started looking for survivors back in Journal 10.
