The Autobots and Terrorcons watch Onslaught's team and discuss their strategies.

Synopsis

[edit]

Part 1

[edit]

The Protectobots establish a line they intend to hold if the Decepticons strike. When asked by his subordinates what they'll do if the Requiem Blaster is used, Hot Spot answers that they and the Aerialbots will respond with an all-out assault. Silverbolt contacts his fellow combiner team leader to notify him that they have his team on their radar and to confirm that the plan is still to attack only if provoked. Silverbolt, recalling the Blaster's danger to both the target and the wielder, hopes that it may take out the Decepticons if they try to use it on them. Hot Spot thinks they intend to use it somewhere further away, with Rook suggesting that they could be going towards their Primal Basilica. Blades puts forth the idea of fending them off with one of their own Artifacts, such as Metalhawk's Star Sabre, but Hot Spot points out that Optimus wants to avoid that type of escalation. As for First Aid's question about the Terrorcons getting involved, Hot Spot says they'll be in trouble. Silverbolt contacts them and lets them know that they have two Megatrons en route.

Part 2

[edit]

BW and Armada Megatron argue about whether or not to attack the joint Combaticon-Stunticon team, with the latter pointing out to his Predacon counterpart that they're out of range and it would be unwise to try and take the Requiem Blaster now. Armada Wheeljack suggests that they may be going towards the Autobots' Primal Basilica, while Gatorface wonders what their plan is. Despite not having field-tested it yet, Armada Megatron reveals that he intends to use the Skyboom Shield. Wheeljack realizes that Onslaught might be waiting for them or the Autobots to make a move and give them something to shoot at, which gives BW Megatron an idea. He has Wheeljack and Breakdown Prime scan for Autobots—a search which reveals the presence of the Aerialbots and Protectobots—then devises a plan to take advantage of their suspected damage limitation strategy and use them as a distraction so they can go for the Requiem Blaster.

Gameplay

[edit]

This event was an individual totaliser on the Mayhem gamemode, meaning players unlocked points on their own as opposed to with their Alliance. As a Mayhem event, each battle was still won by destroying the HQ, but instead of the rest of the buildings and defenses being destroyed upon them doing so, they could continuing destroying the remaining structures until the 3-minute timer is up to gain additional points. The one caveat is that these bases cost a whopping 15 fuel cells to raid, compared to alternative, easier (but lower-rewarding) 5-fuel-cell-worth bases in the same zones.

The top prize was the newly-added 5-star version of the Titan Autobot Ark or Decepticon Nemesis (depending on your faction, of course).

Notes

[edit]
  • This event and most of its surrounding saga were subject to a hiccup in production whereby their story component went un-aired until being backfilled post-facto in a marathon "recap" included with the event "Guardian Devil".

Transformers references

[edit]
  • When asked what they'll do if the Terrorcons bust out the Skyboom Shield, Hot Spot tells First Aid that they'll be in "the obligatory a whole world of pain".
