A chronal phase facilitator is a device that places a being or object in chronal phase, displacing them from the native timestream and rendering them undetectable to those that reside in it. Multiple beings or objects can be remotely placed into chronal phase through use of a transmitter array, or individuals may manually alter their chronal phase state with a wearable armband.

No armband, no re-admittance to the Chronal Club, Magmatron.

Razorbeast used a transmitter array to remotely shift all remaining downed stasis pods on Earth into chronal phase. The Gathering issue 1 Magmatron, Iguanus, and Drill Bit put on chronal phase armbands to sneak up on and apprehend Megatron. They slapped an armband on the defeated Megatron to synch him with their altered chronal state. The Gathering issue 3 Optimus Minor swiped one of the Predacons' armbands for Razorbeast, who defeated Magmatron himself by accordingly altering his chronal state to avoid his larger opponent's attacks. The Gathering issue 4

Razorbeast hid the remaining chronal phase armbands away in the Maximals' base-camp, provoking a Predacon attack to retrieve them. Ravage was briefly fooled by a hologram of the armbands that hid that they were in fact stored in a nearby wall. The Ascending issue 1 Ravage let Razorbeast think he had been defeated, then stole an armband from their true hiding place. After putting it on and activating it, he was unwillingly yanked into a temporal limbo where Magmatron had been trapped after his defeat by Razorbeast. Magmatron warned Ravage of the threat posed by Shokaract, and bid him to forge an alliance with the Maximals. Ravage used the chronal armband to stealthily traverse the battlefield on which both sides were fighting until he made his way to Razorbeast and Lio Convoy, calling for a cease-fire. The Ascending issue 2 Once the alliance had been made and the Maximals and Predacons returned to Cybertron to confront Shokaract, Ravage activated his armband again to consult with Magmatron. Magmatron told Ravage to find some willing Maximals to do the dangerous job of tagging Shokaract with the chronal armband, so that Magmatron could pull him into limbo. Snarl and Prowl were given that task, with Prowl dying in the process. Once Snarl slapped the chronal armband on Shokaract, he was snared into limbo by Magmatron where the mad warlord met his end.
