Powerpinch is a Predacon from the Beast Wars portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Okay, so, what's the... 200th grossest thing I ever ate?

Powerpinch is ferocious, driven, and evil. Truly evil. Evil with a capital EEEEEEEEvil. How evil is he? He's so evil, he's constantly plotting to overthrow himself. He's so evil, his eyes never stop being shifty, even when he's in rest mode. He's so evil, he twirls other villains' moustaches. He's so evil, he tied Snidely Whiplash to the traintracks. He's so evil, he kills the hero and THEN gloats about his nefarious schemes. He's so evil, there's still need to fear, even if Underdog is here. That's how evil he is.

He's also very fast and dangerous, using his insect anatomy to defeat his foes. Obsessed with always being able to work at peak efficiency, he routinely tunes up his internal systems to be certain he is working at maximum speeds at all times. The result is a robot with a short attention span that not only fights, but also talks and moves at dizzying speeds.<ref>Beast Wars Sourcebook #4</ref>

2006 IDW Beast Wars continuity

[edit]
Hi, I'm here to lay my eggs in your brain.

Powerpinch was one of the protoforms jettisoned by the Axalon on prehistoric Earth. He was activated and chronally displaced by Razorbeast at Magmatron's request. The newly born Predacon quickly joined Magmatron. He was sent to hunt down the Maximals that Razorbeast had also awakened. The Gathering #2

While investigating a swampy area with Transquito, Retrax, Scourge, and Insecticon, Powerpinch was attacked (and partially devoured) by Soundwave. The Gathering #3

He got better in time for an attack on Razorbeast's Maximals some time later. The Ascending #1 Together with Iguanus and Drill Bit, Powerpinch attacked Polar Claw and tried to decapitate him. The Ascending #2 When the Blendtrons arrived to destroy both of the warring factions, Powerpinch was among the Predacons who aided numerous Maximals in taking them down. He was the first to cheer in triumph... until an Angolmois-infected Razorbeast came barreling towards them. The Ascending #4

2021 Beast Wars comic

[edit]

The Cybertronian who would become Powerpinch was one of the many Maximal protoforms aboard the Axalon. To eliminate the Maximals and Predacons, Tarantulas and the Vok brought every crashed stasis pod they could find online and reprogrammed the protoforms within into loyal "Children of the Vok". Together, they attacked the crashed Darksyde in an attempt to take out the Maximal-Predacon alliance; when the Maximals and Predacons destroyed the Vok themselves, however, their remaining followers agreed to a truce and left to live peacefully in the wilderness. I am in ur ear e@ting your br@inz.
  • Powerpinch (Basic, 1997)
Part of the fourth wave of year-two Beast Wars Basics, Powerpinch transforms into an orange and translucent dark-green organic [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}earwig|{{#if:||earwig}}]]. His tail-pincer has a "scissor" action activated by a geared trigger. This assembly becomes a hand-held "pincer claw" weapon in robot mode, though it can be left attached to his chest for a weird chest-mounted weapon.
This toy was released in Japan as an import in Hasbro packaging with a Takara-applied sticker. Later, it was released with the most minimal of changes in Beast Wars II as Scissor Boy. It was later redecoed to make Vice Grip.
