Real Action Pop-Ups(tm) 3-D Transformer Trading Cards were a short-lived promotional item from the later portions of the Generation 2 toyline. They were included with the Laser Cycles, Auto Rollers, and Laser Rod Optimus Prime.

The cards are slightly larger than a playing card. The outside fold features a detail of the character's package art on one side, and the glowing green spiral background common to Generation 2 package art on the other side. Unfolding the card reveals a copy of the character's bio and tech spec, along with a smaller but complete copy of the character art.

The smaller character art is cut out along its edges, allowing its upper half to be punched out. The bottom half of the card unfolds into a box, with the character art springing forth from the front, while the top fold of the card then slides behind the "box" to provide a background.

You can like, leave it sitting on your desk or something? What exactly are you supposed to do with these things anyway?

The cards were designed by Up Front Entertainment Inc., as part of their Real Action Pop-Ups line.
