The name or term "Cliffjumper" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Cliffjumper (disambiguation).
Cliffjumper is an Autobot from the Transformers Animated continuity family.

Due to his temper, Cliffjumper never made it as a spy. He does excel at collecting data from those who did, however, and presents this information to his superiors. Given the data that passes in front of his optical sensors, he's pretty high-strung regarding potential Decepticon attacks, and always ready for a brawl.

Long ago, Cliffjumper worked with Sentinel Minor at the Autobot boot camp. One day he was listening wordlessly while Sentinel was lamenting about the glitches his superior had saddled him with. When asked about the echo that Sentinel was hearing, he gave no reply. Cliffjumper later had the honor of carrying out the arrested traitor Wasp, who was strapped to a treaded carrier. Years later, Cliffjumper was assigned as Longarm Prime's personal assistant in the security division. He reported to a flustered Longarm when Ultra Magnus ordered the entire space bridge network shut down in order to stymie the Decepticons' attempts to commandeer a bridge and invade Cybertron. Shortly afterwards, Longarm asked him to dispose of some "sensitive materials" before he retreated to his office. TransWarped

Trivia

  • Character designer Derrick J. Wyatt personally requested this page be moved to "Cliffjumper (Animated)", versus "Little red Autobot" back when his only appearance was as an unnamed cameo.
  • It was stated in an interview with Marty Isenberg that Cliffjumper was originally supposed to be the Autobot framed for being a spy, but Hasbro ruled against the idea.[1]
