Transformers: Destiny
Transformers: Destiny is a series currently being published by IDW Publishing. It serves as both a sequel to The Reign Of Starscream and as a lead in to Revenge of the Fallen, and as such is in direct continuity with the film. Destiny consists of two four-issue story arcs: the first arc, Transformers: Alliance, began in December, 2008, while the concurrent arc Transformers: Defiance debuted the following month.

Transformers: Destiny is written by Chris Mowry, but each arc has a different artistic team. See each arc for credits.
Select covers for both arcs are by Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen concept artist Josh Nizzi.
Items of note
- Initially, Chris Mowry was asked to do a prequel series for Revenge of the Fallen. The theme of "destiny" was key, so that's what the title was called. Eventually, the staff of IDW felt that since there is so much to tell in the movie universe, there should be two separate series. So while there are two stories, they fall under the "destiny" banner and help to explain a larger story.<sup id="cite_ref-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-0" title="">[1]</a></sup>
