Hot dog (food)

Hot dogs are small protein cylinders with rounded ends. Fleshlings use them for fuel after putting them through a brief heat-tempering process. This heat is sometimes provided by the rapid oxidation of brown carbon-based pipe sections, but a standard-issue laser scalpel is equally effective and much more efficient. Warrior School!

Frequently, the fuel cylinders are enclosed in a spongy sabot made from fermented, heat-tempered plant matter, and coated with various other acidified or liquefied plant derivatives. Many human customs are peculiar.

While this is a highly energetic fuel, overuse can lead to the formation of deposits in supply lines, and the resulting occlusion may cause major component failure. Moderation is suggested.
