Victory cartoon

Voice actor: Yumi Tōma (Japanese)

Illumina was first introduced as a schoolgirl looking forward to meeting the mysterious new transfer student, and was somewhat taken aback when he arrived accompanied by a spaceship and a police car. When Leozack and the Dinoforce attacked the school, the other kids blamed Jean for leading them there; however, Illumina defended him by pointing out that they were after the Autobots, and if it wasn't for the Autobots, the Decepticons would have devastated the world. Attack! Leozack

Victory comic

When Jean Minakaze enrolled at an Earth school, it didn't take long for Illumina to make friends with him. Everything was going great until their class received a new foreign exchange student: Solon Kitakaze. As it turns out, Solon was a cyborg working for the Decepticons, only enrolling at the school to find out about human weaknesses. Jean prepared to throw down with his rival, though Illumina did her best to keep the pair from fighting.

Their rumble was cancelled as soon as Leozack began laying siege to the city. Always the voice of reason, Illumina tried to discourage her male cohorts from running off into danger, but tagged along anyway so that they wouldn't get separated. Arriving on the battlefield, Illumina got a front row seat to Leozack's defeat at the hands of Jean's dad, Star Saber. Illumina was pleased to meet Star Saber after the battle, and Jean introduced her as his friend. However, Jean made it a point to inform his dad that Solon was not his friend, an act that hurt Solon's feelings. As the two boys began to fight once more, Illumina simply sighed and remarked to an amused Star Saber that guys are way too competitive. Leozack Rumbles Violently!

Trivia

  • Ban Magami's design for Illumina in the Victory manga is considerably different from her appearance in the Victory cartoon.
