The Meke are a species of intelligent organics, resembling bipedal felines. They inhabit the planet Godbless, of which they appear to be the dominant species. When Big Convoy and his crew approached Godbless, NAVI indicated that the Cybertronian culture had knowledge of the Meke, as well as at least minimal knowledge about their planet. (NAVI knew that it was a "peaceful planet with plenty of water and greenery," and recognized that the peculiar-shaped satellite orbiting Godbless was not a natural one.) Although this indicates that Cybertronians have documented the Meke's existence, it is not explored whether or not Cybertronians have had any true interactions with its inhabitants prior to the events of "Chase the Mysterious Capsule." The fact that a young Meke was not startled by the sight of two maximals approaching an offering of oil might suggest that the species are familiar with their existence, but it might also indicate that they are simply familiar with other alien lifeforms in general.
Overview
Physiology
Meke possess large, red, almond-shaped eyes and pale yellow fur. Some sport patches of more darkly colored fur, as well as orange and brown "highlights" present in the longer, stylized fur produced from their scalp. Said fur, along with the fur covering the Mekes' ears, is sometimes darker then the fur covering the rest of their bodies, ranging to three different shades of color; pale yellow, pale brown and dark brown. Prominent feline characteristics, including fangs, large pointed ears atop their head, and being entirely covered in short fur, distinguish them from other "humanoid" species.
Their bite appears to be quite powerful, capable of causing much pain and swelling in Cohrada's tail.
Culture
The Meke do not seem to be inclined towards combat and war, as they are described as leading tranquil lives. Agriculture is their main industry. By harvesting and processing a type of fruit (resembling oranges, a type of fruit native to the planet Earth) the Meke are capable of producing a high-quality oil, consumable by Maximals and Predacons. The process by which this is accomplished is mostly unseen, but is done through the use of large, manually powered machines.
As observed in other intelligent organic life forms, the Meke clothe themselves and stylize facial and scalp hair. Although not as technologically advanced as other species, they possess rudimentary tools that aid in their agricultural lifestyle, such as woven baskets and wheelbarrows. They also seem to be capable of constructing metallic structures, as seen in their outdoors oil "factories." Otherwise, wood seems to be the main material for the construction of structures and equipment.
Religion
Although at first startled at the sight of a flying island, the Meke were quick to accept that this was due to a divine presence inhabiting it. The fact that Saberback, stationed on the flying island, was producing illusions causing nearby beings to see an image of their god probably helped them reach this conclusion. Said god resembled an enormous winged feline.
Oblations of oil was subsequently offered to their god, either out of their own initiative or after being ordered to do so by the disguised Saberback. Either way, they did not hesitate to continue their offerings to the Predacon after ordering to be offered more oil, even when it began to hinder their lifestyle; all of their oil was being given to their god, and none was left to power their village.
