It involves metallic hotpants.

<a name="Summary"></a><h2><span class="editsection">[<a href="http://tfwiki.net/w2/index.php?title=Shine%21_The_Five_Stars_of_Victory&action=edit&section=1" title="Edit section: Summary">edit</a>]</span> <span class="mw-headline">Summary</span></h2> [[Image:|right|200px|thumb|Who likes short-shorts?]] As <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Deathsaurus" title="Deathsaurus">Deathsaurus</a> and <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Liokaiser" title="Liokaiser">Liokaiser</a> plunder <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Earth" title="Earth">Earth</a>'s energy, <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Star_Saber_%28G1%29" title="Star Saber (G1)">Victory Saber</a>, <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Laster" title="Laster">Laster</a> and <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Braver" title="Braver">Braver</a> arrive to meet their challenge.

Elsewhere, <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Blacker" title="Blacker">Blacker</a> catches up with <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Solon_Kitakaze" title="Solon Kitakaze">Solon</a> and <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Tigerbreast" title="Tigerbreast">Tigerbreast</a>, taking the small boy hostage. Blacker and Solon have a heart-to-heart and Solon explains that his parents were killed in the Transformer War and he was badly injured. Deathsaurus took him in, saved his life by turning him into a cyborg and adopted him as his son. Solon refuses to believe that he is <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Human" title="Human">human</a> anymore due to his mechanical body. Blacker explains to him that there's more to being human than having flesh and that his homeworld, the Earth, is in dire need of help from all its children. Blacker then tosses Solon a set of armor (modeled after himself, naturally) and speeds off to help Victory Saber. Solon reflects on what he's just been told.

On the battlefield, the <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Decepticon" title="Decepticon">Decepticons</a> have the <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Autobot" title="Autobot">Autobots</a> at their mercy and the <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Victories" title="Victories">Victories</a> are helpless to do anything about it (surprise surprise). Just then, Blacker arrives and combines with the <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Brainmaster" title="Brainmaster">Brainmasters</a> to form <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Road_Caesar" title="Road Caesar">Road Caesar</a>. Road Caesar helps Victory Saber to his feet, but the fight still looks hopeless.

Suddenly, a small laser blast strikes Deathsaurus on the cheek. He looks down to discover Solon has switched sides! <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Patty_Minakaze" title="Patty Minakaze">Patty</a> is pleased as punch and declares that the Victories can at last perform the "Five Stars of Victory" attack. <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Jean_Minakaze" title="Jean Minakaze">Jean</a> transfers his courage into <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Star_Saber_%28G1%29" title="Star Saber (G1)">Star Saber</a>, <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Sh%C5%ABta_G%C5%8D" title="Shūta Gō">Shūta</a> transfers his cunning into Braver, <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Cab" title="Cab">Cab</a> transfers his skill into Laster, Solon transfers his power into Blacker and Patty transfers her love into <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Victory_Leo" title="Victory Leo">Victory Leo</a>. With that accomplished, they shout "Let's seigō!" and power-up Victory Saber's and Road Caesar's swords into the Victory Calibur.

The attack sends the Decepticons running back to the <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Decepticon_Space_City" class="mw-redirect" title="Decepticon Space City">Decepticon Space City</a>, where Deathsaurus vows the final confrontation will take place.

With the threat momentarily over, Jean officially welcomes Solon into the Victories. Solon says he'll only join under one condition: if he gets to have Patty as his big sister, too. Patty is embarrassed, Jean is infuriated, and everybody else decides the whole thing is hilarious.

  • The phrase "Let's seigō!" is a pun that's rather difficult to

fully realize into English. "Let's" is spoken in English, while "seigō" means "coordinate (an attack)". However, it happens to sound like the English words "Say go". So they're saying both "Let's coordinate!" and "Let's say go!" at the same time.

  • Unless you count that time they mopped the base in "<a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Mighty%21_Victory_Saber" title="Mighty! Victory Saber">Mighty! Victory Saber</a>", this is the only time the Victories have ever done anything of merit in the entire series.

during the entirety of the issue. On the page where the Victories are shown transferring their abilities into their respective <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Autobot" title="Autobot">Autobots</a>, Victory Leo is the only one not seen.
