Once he lived the quiet traditional life of a non-ninja hydroponic farmer, disavowing violence for any reason. When Decepticons led by Scorponok destroyed his family's farm, his entire world and that way of life was destroyed along with it. He is now one of the Autobots best warriors.
Silencer turns into a noiseless, recoilless proton rifle. As a "double" Targetmaster, Silencer is able to combine with Flintlock to increase the power of his own weapon, or boost the power of Flintlock's stress pistol. It's unclear if Silencer's shoulder-mounted systems are defensive weapons, or part of his recoil-and-sound dampening system.
Silencer and Flintlock try to force the slovenly Landfill to clean regularly, but they avoid him when he forgets, which can leave them all vulnerable in the event of a surprise attack.

When <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Hook_%28G1%29_%28Unicron%29" class="mw-redirect" title="Hook (G1) (Unicron)">Hook</a> <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Line_%28G1%29" class="mw-redirect" title="Line (G1)">Line</a> and <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Sinker_%28G1%29" class="mw-redirect" title="Sinker (G1)">Sinker</a> attacked some months later, Silencer, Flintlock and the other Nebulan "double" Targetmasters appeared to be absent.

- Silencer, like all the "double" Targetmaster Nebulans, is one
of the smallest and least complicated Transformers. Fold the barrel away, and stand him up, and can also combine with Flintlock to form a rifle. He was released with the Autobot Landfill in 1988. No version of this character or mold was released in Japan.
