The answer lies somewhere in the middle. Relentlessly cheerful, she's predisposed to sweeping monologues about hope and friendship. This can annoy her relatively more jaded companions, not because it's annoying, but because she's usually right. She is an adventurous young mechanoid, but due to her small size and inexperience, she frequently gets in over her head.

Small <font style="color:black;background-color:A0ffff">Foot</font> will need that optimism now that she's a <A TITLE="G1 GoBots" CLASS="mw-redirect" HREF="/wiki/G1_GoBots">traveler from another dimension</a>, who has taken the form of an Autobot and infiltrated their ranks in the hopes of finding the solution to a problem that plagues her doomed <A TITLE="Tonka GoBots" HREF="/wiki/Tonka_GoBots">universe-of-origin</a>.

Small <font style="color:black;background-color:A0ffff">Foot</font> is a <A TITLE="Redeco" HREF="/wiki/Redeco">redeco</a> of the <A TITLE="Mini Vehicle" HREF="/wiki/Mini_Vehicle">Mini Vehicle</a> <A TITLE="Gears" HREF="/wiki/Gears">Gears</a>, transforming into a pickup truck of indeterminate model. She was only available in an <A TITLE="E-Hobby" HREF="/wiki/E-Hobby">e-Hobby</a>-<A TITLE="Exclusive" HREF="/wiki/Exclusive">exclusive</a> six-pack with <A TITLE="Bad Boy" HREF="/wiki/Bad_Boy">Bad Boy</a>, <A TITLE="Bug Bite (G1)" HREF="/wiki/Bug_Bite_%28G1%29">Bug Bite</a>, <A TITLE="Path Finder" HREF="/wiki/Path_Finder">Path Finder</a>, <A TITLE="Road Ranger" HREF="/wiki/Road_Ranger">Road Ranger</a>, and <A TITLE="Treds" HREF="/wiki/Treds">Treds</a>.
This mold is also used by the <A TITLE="Malignus" HREF="/wiki/Malignus">Malignus</a> <A TITLE="Pick-Up" CLASS="mw-redirect" HREF="/wiki/Pick-Up">Pick-Up</a>, and was the basis for the 1986 <A TITLE="Retool" HREF="/wiki/Retool">retool</a> <A TITLE="Swerve (G1)" HREF="/wiki/Swerve_%28G1%29">Swerve</a>.

  • The e-Hobby Gears redeco was clearly intended to be the Small <font style="color:black;background-color:A0ffff">Foot</font> character from the <A TITLE="Tonka GoBots" HREF="/wiki/Tonka_GoBots">Tonka GoBots</a> line. Her name does not appear in any of the final product material; it only appeared in an early Photoshopped promotional image on the <A TITLE="E-Hobby" HREF="/wiki/E-Hobby">e-Hobby</a> website. The individual toys' names were dropped when <A TITLE="Takara" CLASS="mw-redirect" HREF="/wiki/Takara">Takara</a> became concerned over how rival company <A TITLE="Bandai" HREF="/wiki/Bandai">Bandai</a> might react to the names... even though Bandai had little to no legal standing on the matter, as the names were granted by Tonka—now a <A TITLE="Hasbro" HREF="/wiki/Hasbro">Hasbro</a>-owned sub-company—and the GoBots fiction had never been used by Bandai. Apparently, Takara felt any trouble over the set was not worth it.
  • Of course, any ambiguity over her identity was moot once <A TITLE="Fun Publications" HREF="/wiki/Fun_Publications">Fun Publications</a> took the concept and ran with it.
