The identity of the traitor is finally revealed!

Synopsis

In a flashback, Sunstreaker is relaxing broodily when Ratchet discusses about Sunstreaker's separation with Hunter O'Nion. He reports that the separation was a complete success, and although Hunter will never fully be human again, he still wants to see Sunstreaker. Sunstreaker silently refuses.

On present-day Cybertron, Kup chews out Ironhide for his attack on Mirage. Kup is frustrated that a sudden attack lost him a good soldier. Ironhide tries to say the Mirage betrayed him, but Kup shuts him up. Kup then goes on about how it wasn't the planet that is affecting Ironhide, but Ironhide himselft. Ironhide tries to protest, but Kup shuts him up again. Kup and Ironhide were both there at the start of the Great War, but the difference was that Ironhide never advanced beyond his current rank, letting others pass him by, and preferring to mix in with the crowd and participate. Ironhide feels like he's been shut out and should have seen it coming. Suddenly, they're interrupted by gunfire above. The Swarm is attacking the Autobots, and Blurr arrives without Drift. Kup decides to puts in an order to move to the main bunker.

In New York City, a group of humans and when Reflector surrounds them and asks if they want to play a game... Later, a sulking Viewfinder is lamenting about how easy the humans died, while Starscream walks past him. When he passes a building, the Insecticons notice him. At first, they insult him, thinking him to be either Skywarp or Thundercracker, but they quickly apologize when they realize who they're talking to. After getting into a quick discussion about the future of the Decepticon empire, Starscream tells them that they really need to talk...

On Cybertron, the Autobots fire at the Swarm while driving away from them. When they get to a tunnel, Kup orders Perceptor to destroy the explosives they planted on the tunnel, which Perceptor does with two small handguns. However, Perceptor gets taken down by a dart-like projectile fired by a Swarm creature. The Autobots eventually make it to the bridge, where there are more plastic explosives lined up on the bridge. A long-distance shot to blow up the explosives is agreed on, but Perceptor is down, Springer's copter mode is non-functional, and Blurr wants to take a shot at blowing the bridge, which Kup objects to. Then Ironhide wonders where Sunstreaker is...

On Earth, Starscream is looking out at the balcony of the "buildings" when he is visited by a mysterious Decepticon. He asks if everything is going according to plan and if Megatron suspects, to which Starscream replies that the plan is going smoothly and that Megatron always suspects. Starscream once respected and idolized Megatron, but feels that he's lost his way. Starscream orders the mystery Decepticon to gather the others and await his signal.

On Cybertron, Sunstreaker stands alone on the bridge. Ironhide goes over to him and asks him if he wanted to be kid. Sunstreaker replies "Yes", and reveals to Ironhide that HE was the real traitor...

Sometime after Sunstreaker was seperated from Hunter, he met with Starscream in secret in a forested area on Earth. Starscream knew all about Sunstreaker's Headmaster ordeal, and knows that Sunstreaker now despises the humans. Starscream goes on to say that he couldn't beat Megatron alone, and that he needed Sunstreaker's help. Megatron was to be led to the ambush site, and that he would be killed on the spot, but Sunstreaker knew that Optimus Prime would never approve of such a thing, so he and Starscream planted the false info to lure the Autobots to the ambush spot. With Megatron out of the way, Sunstreaker would leave Earth for good, and the Decepticons, led by Starscream, would rule the planet. Sunstreaker agreed on one condition; to kill the whole population of Earth as payback for his treatment under the Machination.

Before Sunstreaker can apologize to Ironhide, they're attacked by the Swarm. Sunstreaker tries to get Ironhide to go without him, but the Swarm overwhelm them. Suddenly, Drift appears from out of nowhere and takes Ironhide to safety. With Ironhide out of the way, Sunstreaker aims his gun at one of the explosives and blows up the entire bridge, taking out both himself and the Swarm along in the explosion. Ironhide sulks into Ratchet's repair room, and Jazz orders Drift to stay and keep watch. While relaxing Ironhide is visited by Drift, who says that the war is changing everyone and that isn't nearly all Sunstreaker entirely. Drift mentions that the Decepticons had access to codes that not even Sunstreaker would provide, and it isn't another traitor, as Ironhide first thinks. Drift tells Ironhide that "there's more to this than we know".

On Earth, Bombshell looks at his new "guinea pig"... Hunter O'Nion, trussed up in the same manner as Sunstreaker during his captivity in the Machination!
