The Energon Z Beam is a weapon from the Zone portion of the Generation 1 continuity family

The Energon Z Beam is a weapon used by Trypticon during his tenure surving serving as one Violen Jygar's Nine Great Demon Generals. When engaged, the weapon unleashes a burst of red energy from the mechanical sauropod's mouth. It is presumably composed of pure Energon Z.

The weapon proved extremely powerful, and nearly killed Sonic Bomber when Trypticon used it on him.
