• At the end of the episode, Blackarachnia comes face to face with a gorilla, a rhino, a cheetah, and a rat.

Real-world references

• When Blackarachnia presses some buttons on her computer, they sound the theme from Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
• The transwarp experimentation chambers look and function exactly like the telepods from David Cronenberg's The Fly.

• That's now four episodes in a row without a single mention of Sari. C'mon, guys, just a little isn't that hard to do...
• The rat near the ending may be really big, or really close.
• OK, we know it's first and foremost a huge gratuitous fan-service, here, but what are a rat, a rhinoceros, a gorilla and a cheetah doing together on an island in plain North-America, seriously?
