Dreadwind (RID)

Dreadwind is a Decepticon character in the Universe conflict.
Dreadwind is part of Megazarak's personal strike force. He's somewhat of a perfectionist, and will not choose a second target until he is absolutely sure he has finished the first. He is always searching for increasingly interesting and hard-to-find objects to destroy. His obsession in finding targets worthy of his attentions is near pathological, much like a collector of rare items. Unfortunately, what Dreadwind finds interesting to destroy is often at odds with his mission objective. Even worse, if he's forced to stop firing upon a target before he thinks he's finished, he will become madly enraged and fire on Autobot and Decepticon alike.
Dreadwind and his partner Smokejumper can combine in jet mode, where Dreadwind's lust for destruction and Smokejumper's eye for detail join forces to create a dangerous force to reckon with.
Fiction
Dreadwind's home Universe is somewhat unclear. Released nder the Robots in Disguise toyline, his bio makes him part of Megazarak's strike force in Universe, while the Fan Club magazine places him in The Unicron Battles in Armada continuity! Dreadwing never actually appears anywhere, we just have biographical information placing him in multiple worlds!
It's possible Dreadwind and Smokejumper may exist in many worlds (like Optimus Prime, Starscream) or they may have migrated from one to another as a result of his involvement in the world-hopping Universe storyline.
Armada (Animated?) Continuity
During the Unicron Battles, Dreadwing and Smokescreen form an uneasy alliance with Galvatron and use the Spark of Combination to join together and become MegaWing Galvatron, a counterpart to Optimus Prime and Jetfire's Jet Convoy combination.
An additional combination with Tidal Wave can form Dark MegaWing Galvatron.
Toys
A redeco of the Generation 2 Dreadwing toy exclusive to Target stores, Dreadwind transforms into a "flying wing" style stealth bomber with underslung six-missile gatling cannon. He can also transform into a treaded "tank" mode. In jet form, he can combine with Smokejumper's jet mode to make a complete aircraft. Dreadwind and Smokejumper are notable for being among the only toys to use decals for detailing rather than paint since the end of Generation 2.
The same mold is used by BB and Gigant Bomb. The mold was also intended to be used for Megatron in Generation 2, but was never released.
