After using Laserbeak to get rid of Sari, Soundwave turned back to his work of converting Optimus' team to Decepticons. Picking up Ratbat in keytar form, he played a riff, causing the Autobots' eyes to turn red...Human Error, Part 1
Ratbat was among Soundwave when he was reprogramming the Autobots. Soon, the Autobots where back into their human forms, and after complaining, they visualized a red and black van, resembling the Electrostatic Soundwave toy. The Autobots then ran to cars that resemble their vehicle forms in the real world. The Autobots drove in the vehicles down to a parking lot with the Soundwave resembling toy van. After that, seatbelts strapped the Autobots down in their seats and Soundwave held Ratbat and played him. After that, and after Sari had gathered all of her team (Scrapper, Snarl, and Wreck-Gar), Soundwave burst out of the ground holding Ratbat. After that, the evil Autobots came marching from behind Soudnwave, with their eyes red. Sari exclaimed she was glad to see them, when Optimus Prime said, "The techno-organic must be destroyed.", talking like Soundwave. After that, Sari's team attacked the Autobots. After Prowl faked trying to attack Sari, Soundwave focused his sound coming from Ratbat onto Optimus Prime. Once Optimus was clear out of Soundwave's control, he thought he had killed Sari after his axe was stuck in the ground. She turned to Prowl and told him he was a big faker. Prowl explained why he faked. Soundwave then explained to the Autobot that escape was impossible and ordered Ratbat to transform and destroy the Autobots. Ratbat simply went after Prowl and Optimus stood in front of Ratbat swinging his axe. Once Laserbeak took Prime's attention, Ratbat flew for Prowl and grabbed Prowl's hands, releasing him to fall on a half of a roof top on a building. Ratbat then transformed into his keytar form once again. Optimus Prime then made Laserbeak transform into his guitar form. Optimus then played Laserbeak with a more "justice-sounding" sound and Soundwave made Ratbat's sound electrify to complete sound. Prime then started running with Laserbeak and jumped up in the air striking Laserbeak down. Prime then swung Laserbeak around like his axe, bashing his sharp ends into Soundwave's armor. On the last slam, Prime then made Soundwave and Ratbat fall into small little pieces. Later, when things were normal again, Soundwave was in his camera form, saying that everyone would obey him. Sari then pressed a button on Soundwave, and exclaimed it's supposed to be a silent night. Laserbeak then swooped down and grabbed Soundwave flying off in the air. Sari paid no attention to it, but turned around and talked to the Autobots and her dad.Human Error, Part 2

- Accessories: "Ratbat" keytar
- Ratbat is a black keytar that turns into a bat with a metallic purple head and wings. He comes as an accessory with Electrostatic Soundwave, a redeco of Deluxe Soundwave decoed as an homage to Generation 1 Soundblaster.
Notes
- Ratbat is, along with Swindle, Galvatron and Waspinator, one of Derrick J. Wyatt's favorite Transformers, hence his Animated adaptation.
- We don't know how Ratbat was created. If it happened without the aid of the AllSpark, he likely lacks a spark of his own.
