Endspark is the moment when Transformer's lifeforce, its spark, gutters and dies, leaving it truly and irrevocably dead. The term carries a connotation of a cold, atheistic view of the world[1] rather than any comforting cycle of reincarnation and return to a creator.
When a spark is extinguished it leaves residual carbon scoring on the shell's spark core, which can be detected to confirm actual death rather than spark removal. Revelations Part I: Discovery
