The name or term "Devastator" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Devastator (disambiguation).
Devastator is a Decepticon Combiner from the Revenge of the Fallen franchise in the live-action film continuity family.
King Kong ain't got nothin' on me!

Whether he's formed from six or seven Constructicons, Devastator is pretty fragging big. Topping 120 feet in height, he towers over the competition.

The fusion of the Constructicons has produced a mind that's very much less than the sum of its parts. Intelligence goes out the window, with Devastator relying on almost pure instinct in battle.

Devastator is made up of:

Spielberg saw [Devastator] and said, 'This is (expletive) awesome!'
It's always nice when you can make him swear.

The one you will actually buy.
  • Constructicon Devastator (2009)
Like the on-screen combiner, but unlike the Supreme class Devastator toy, the Legends class Devastator is comprised of seven Constructicons, including the elusive Overload, each with individual robot modes.

Supreme Class toys

I come in peace, shoot to kill!
  • Constructicon Devastator (2009)
Likely due to the complexity of his character design, Devastator is formed from the combination of six transforming construction vehicles that do not appear to have individual robot modes. Unlike prior cases of this format, Devastator's vehicles represent separate transformers, and some of them have been depicted with non-combiner toys.

Track Set
Devastator transforms into a snake.
The Devastator Showdown track set is a retool of the Indiana Jones race track. This playset is compatible with the other Hot Wheels-like minature cars. It fires the car on a track to a area that (when a car goes over it) releases a boulder and the Devastator head lights up and makes sounds. The boulder will follow the car down the track until the tracks stop.

References

  1. It is currently unclear what relationship, if any, Demolishor has to Scavenger. Official packaging photos for Demolishor's Voyager class toy clearly show his name to be Demolishor, yet a component in the Constructicon Devastator toy set that has an identical vehicle mode to Demolishor has "SCVNGR" tampographed on the side of the vehicle and the official image files from Hasbro for the toy component are named "scavenger". On April 1st, 2009, screen writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman added to the confusion by referring to Demolishor as a separate character from the other Constructicons, and that Devastator is made up of seven Constructicons, including Scavenger (but not Demolishor) and a new character named Overload.(Various characters revealed on USA Today.com. April 1, 2009.)
